Immersed in a landscape of vineyards and orchards we find the lovely village of Arodes just 23 km northeast of Paphos. Seperated in two parts, the Pano Arodes (upper part) and Kato Arodes (lower part) It is stunningly positioned on the Laona plateau, 590 metres above sea level - at the edge of the Akamas Nature Reserve leading down to the breathtaking Avakas Gorge and the coast. The mediaeval name of the village was Rhodes, from the fact that it was the property of the Knights of St. John of Jerusalem, whose headquarters were until 1522 in the island of Rhodes. 

This village neighbours with Kathikas village, Drousia, and Ineia village, but is also a short drive away to Miliou, a village that is known for the Ayii Anargyri Spa Resort throughout Cyprus with its natural mineral healing waters, a place of profound calm which has benefited visitors for so many years.
